Betül Czerkawski
Betül Czerkawski is a Professor of Learning Design and Technology at the College of Information Sciences at the University of Arizona. She is also affiliated with the Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT) Program and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES).
Her work embodies interdisciplinary teaching and research focus, bridging learning design, digital humanities, and the application of emerging technologies, including AI, for foreign language instruction. Her publications appeared in leading journals, including TechTrends, The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning, Computers in Education, and Interactive Learning Environments. Her current project involves creating a virtual literary map of Ukraine and Crimea.
Her scholarly achievements include being recognized as a Fulbright Scholar and receiving distinguished faculty awards throughout her career.
