Wanda Kolomyjec

Adjunct Faculty, Human Rights Practice

Wanda Kolomyjec, MA, Ph.D., has an eclectic background in education, business and nonprofit. After twenty-five years co-owning a toy and entertainment company, Dr. Kolomyjec returned to academia and received an MA in Social Justice and Human Rights where her focus was community education and civil dialogue. She created Social Circles of Justice with the intent of promoting dialogue across ideological difference. Additionally, utilizing her business background, she created a course designed to foster students' ability to connect their passions and natural strengths with their academic and professional pursuits. Dr. Kolomyjec received her PhD in Justice Studies in May, 2020. Her research interests are Transformational Learning and Critical Whiteness Studies. Currently, Dr. Kolomyjec teaches Justice Studies at Arizona State University, Human Rights at University of Arizona, is a sitting school board member for Kyrene School District, and is the creator/director of T-Resisters, a grassroots progressive activist group nestled in a conservative suburb of Phoenix, Arizona.
