Beth Boyett

Elizabeth (Beth) E. Boyett is the founder of Healthcare Engagement Advisors (HEA), a digital health consulting firm that services the largest, most innovative, and heavily matrixed organizations involved in global healthcare delivery. Elizabeth brings more than 20 years of healthcare technology industry experience and is an accomplished executive with a track record of driving innovation, company growth, and value creation. She also provides the tools and action plans necessary to move products and companies forward as an advisor to innovation centers in the US and abroad.

Before HEA, she spent over twelve years in sales leadership at athenahealth, Inc. She was the principal executive in accelerating the adoption of Software as a service (SaaS) solutions among physician practices and enterprise health systems, leading athenahealth to a successful IPO in 2007. Before athenahealth, she served as National Director of Sales and Strategy with MedAptus, LLC, a Boston-based cloud workflow and analytics software company. Prior to MedAptus, Elizabeth served as Vice President of International Sales Strategy and Operations for DynaMedix Corp., a laboratory information system company while residing in Mexico City, Mexico and traveling throughout Latin America, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Elizabeth is currently enrolled with Harvard Kennedy School for Policy Leadership, commencing her capstone project in Summer 2020. In May 2019, she began a second career by earning an MA in Human Rights Practice focusing on the intersection of human rights and technology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Texas.


Elizabeth lives in Houston, Texas, and, whenever possible, grabs her backpack and camera to continue her passion for transformative global travel. She also fights to eradicate modern slavery as a volunteer/board member for various organizations.
