Alex Braithwaite

Professor and Associate Director, School of Government and Public Policy

Alex Braithwaite is a Professor and Associate Director at the School of Government and Public Policy at the University of Arizona. Before his current positions, he held posts at Colorado State University and University College London. He received his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in 2006. Braithwaite is the author of Conflict Hotspots: Emergence, Causes, and Consequences, and is currently working on a project about Refugees and Instability. His research focuses on many facets within international security, like terrorism, protests and riots, civil war, and human rights, and how those factors affect and drive refugees to leave their homes.
