Itzel Anahí Íñiguez, Ed.D

Program Manager, Office of General Education

As a program manager for the UA Office General Education, I am a passionate advocate for marginalized communities in higher education. As a first-generation student, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate the unfamiliar terrain of academia, and I’m committed to helping others overcome those hurdles. My mission is to support the most vulnerable students—providing resources, motivation, and safe spaces—so they can achieve their academic dreams.

With a deep belief in the power of bilingualism and intercultural competence, I strive to break down language barriers and foster understanding across cultures. I am dedicated to using my knowledge to support students in a globalized world, ensuring they have the tools to succeed and connect.

I hold two degrees from the University of Arizona, including the M.A. in Human Rights Practice, and recently earned my Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. When I'm not working to uplift others, I love to travel, bake, and spend quality time with family and friends. I’m excited to give back to my community
