"Missing in Brooks County" featured in Human Rights Watch Film Festival

An update to this blogpost (which was originally published on February 3, 2021): “Missing in Brooks County” has earned a nomination for a Peabody Award in the documentary category, it was announced April 11, 2023. This is the highest honor yet for the film. Plus, PBS is bringing the film back for streaming from April 17 – June 15.  Congratulations to Prof. Molomot and all involved!

UArizona Human Rights Practice Professor Lisa Molomot's film "Missing in Brooks County"-- an amazing account of migrant deaths in Texas -- is being shown at the 2021 Human Rights Watch Film Festival.  Congratulations Lisa!
