Kirssa Cline Ryckman

Kirssa Cline Ryckman is an Associate Professor in the School of Government and Public Policy. She studies the dynamics of nonstate conflict, including terrorism, civil war, and nonviolent campaigns. She is particularly interested in how civilians are affected by conflict, whether as victims of violence or agents of change. She teaches courses on terrorism, nonviolent conflict, human security, and statistics. Her work has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research, Conflict Management and Peace Science, and the Journal of Global Security Studies. Dr. Ryckman also serves as the Assistant Director of the International Security Studies program. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 2012.
